Jordan & Matthew
August 13, 2023
Bride’s name: Jordan Lane
Groom’s name: Matthew Muffoletto
How they met: After meeting in the “art hallway,” the two became high school sweethearts in their sophomore year.
Number of guests: 150+
Wedding colors: Mauve, greens, ivory
Unique and special aspects of their wedding day: “We had no idea just how much work would go into planning a wedding for 150+ guests in a space that did not have running power, bathrooms, an indoor space for weather or running water. We had to hire the local football team to hand carry our tent pieces, tables, chairs, etc., for half a mile down the hill since there was no access for the large box trucks.” The couple had to haul in everything from generators to toilet trailers, rent a commercial kitchen 20 minutes away, and bus in and out all the guests. “At the time, the stress and effort did not feel worth it, but all said and done, every bit of it was!” To celebrate the couple’s love of ice cream, Jordan’s father built an ice cream bike cart to display gallons of their favorite ice cream from “Woohoo.” For an interactive guest book, the couple incorporated an “After the Tone phone” inside a pink phone booth – and it doubled as a photobooth! Also fun: Matthew is a pilot so the two took a float plane across the bay to explore and spend time with one another as one of their photographers captured the special moments.
Most memorable moment...
For her: “Having all of our favorite people in the same place at the same time and THE CRAZY PARTY.”
For him: “The atmosphere combined with having everyone together to help us celebrate!”
Funniest moment: “When we were declared ‘husband and wife,’ Matthew picked me up, kissed me, threw his fist in the air and knocked my veil off.”
Three words that best describe the day: “Whimsical, romantic, party.”
If they had the chance to do it again, what they would do differently: “I wouldn’t have planned it myself. As a full-time wedding planner, I should never have planned my own. I cared way too much about every last detail.”
Best advice for a couple planning their wedding: “You have to let go at some point so you can enjoy the process. No wedding day goes perfectly no matter how much planning you put into it. Let yourself enjoy your wedding day without worrying about every last detail. Hire someone else to take care of that part!”
