emily & camron
may 25, 2021
Bride’s name: Emily Berry
Groom's name: Camron Lotti
How they met: In their high school computer class in 2010.
Number of guests: 65
Unique and special aspects of the day: “We had a puzzle guest book that allowed guests to sign pieces and we put it together,” says Emily. “For food, we had pizza, including a heart-shaped pizza on our sweetheart table. For my ‘something borrowed and something blue,’ I wore a garter that both my mom and my great grandma wore. And we did a ‘first look’ before the ceremony to have our own intimate moment.”
Most memorable moment…
For her: “I most remember the dancing and having fun with family, as well as the getting ready with my girls and feeling that anticipation.”
For him: “I remember leading up to the ceremony and then it all went by like a blur, but I remember being happy and excited.”
Funniest moment: “The funniest thing that happened is one of our flower girls told her mom ‘go sit down, mom, we don’t want your help with this.’ Also funny: Camron’s grandparents from Boston, not knowing they were unmuted on zoom, were commenting on things and telling Cam to move his butt during the ceremony since they couldn’t see!”
Three words that best describe their day: “Special, fun, finally”
If they had the chance to do it again, what they would do differently: “Nothing, because the end goal was to marry my best friend and I got to do that,” says Emily. “It’s nice to have things go smoothly and how you want, but reality is that things aren’t always perfect and living in the moment is the most important. A wedding is a celebration of the marriage for the couple, and we had a great time!”
Best advice for a couple planning their wedding: “Try to remember that it is about you and not what other people may think or want. It’s a really special day, but it still is only one day out of the rest of your life. The true focus should be saying ‘I do’ and starting your forever on a positive note! Everything will work out, and doesn’t have to be perfect as long as you get to marry your person.”
