Tables for every season
Your reception tables are going to be the center of attention, so make sure they’re gorgeous. Need inspiration? Take cues from the seasons. Here are some ideas.
Winter
Use jewel-toned tablecloths and gold-gilded chargers for added richness.
Consider tall, regal candelabras for centerpieces with clusters of flowers at the base or strung with jeweled baubles.
Go all white! Dress your wedding in winter whites, from the table linens to the china. For some sparkle, consider adding jewels (faux rubies, rhinestones, and even aquamarines) to your all-white centerpieces.
Accent the sides of your snow-white tables with icicle garlands or twinkle lights wrapped in tulle or lace.
Spring & Summer
For a vintage Victorian garden setting, decorate with delicate lace tablecloths, elegant teacups and saucers, and vintage-style table numbers. Display sepia-toned pictures of the newlyweds in ornate frames.
Go modern with plaid or gingham table linens; get flirty with polka dots; feel sophisticated with stripes; or be playful by combining a couple of patterns.
For centerpieces, go for a “just picked from the garden” look. Fill vases, wire baskets or ceramic water pitchers with loose blooms in bright colors.
Incorporate ruby-red raspberries, luscious blackberries, tiny green apples, and even figs into your centerpieces.
Fall
Use warm golds, browns, reds and oranges for linens.
Decorate with mini pumpkins, dried flowers, acorns and colorful gourds.
Go elegant with antique gold candleholders.
Think rustic elegance, such as burlap table linens and weathered copper pedestal vases filled with sunflowers or yellow and gold-toned roses and calla lilies.
Incorporate twigs, berries, crisp leaves or tiny pinecones into your centerpiece of dahlias, gardenias, roses or other seasonal flowers.
Hollow out pumpkins and use them as vases.
Use hurricane lamps circled with grapevine wreaths decorated with fall leaves.
