After hiking up the Twin Peaks trail by Eklutna Lake on a rainy Sunday morning, Nicole turned around from taking photos of the expansive view, thinking she would find Chris packing up their bags. “I turn around and he’s on one knee reciting the most loving speech, with the ring in his hand,” she recalls. Reminiscent of their mountainside proposal, the couple would officially tie the knot with an outdoor affair at Crow Creek Mine. More than 100 of their closest friends and family joined in celebrating Nicole and Chris’ summertime nuptials in Girdwood, looking out over the grounds and beautiful surrounding mountain scenery. Their day was filled with sweet, memorable touches, like the “take-home bride and groom cookies" handmade by the maid of honor, says Nicole. Though, after they were pronounced husband and wife, taking “fun and romantic photos together” proved to be one of the most unforgettable moments of their wedding day.
