How they met: Monica and Mark met at a get-together with mutual friends and family.

The proposal: On a family vacation in Hawaii, Mark and Monica embarked on a hike up Diamond Head that would change their lives. “At the top of the trail and overlooking the island, Mark nervously asked the question and I said yes!”

For her: “While I was walking down the aisle, I couldn't see anybody but him.”

For him: “I was so nervous the night before the wedding and I couldn't sleep and was writing my vows at 2 am, and on the day of the wedding ‘I killed my vows.’ ”

Funniest moment: “My grandpa, Reno, jumped over everybody twice just to catch the garter!”

Unique aspects of the day: “(We) incorporated Filipino American culture, and how all the people enjoyed the day with us.”
