How did Anjali and John know it was right? When John popped the question not once, but twice! His “spontaneous” nature, according to Anjali, caused him to ask her to be his wife once without a ring, and later with it. Of course, Anjali said “yes” to both of his proposals – and they began planning their colorful, homespun fete. The couple infused sweet, personalized elements into every aspect of the day – from Anjali’s vibrant sari, shipped over from India, to all of the food that was cooked and crafted with love by family members. “The decorations were amazing and unique,” Anjali recalls. “That day, I felt like a total princess.” About 300 family and friends came to celebrate as the couple said their vows and became man and wife, but not before Anjali jokingly ran from the altar! This funny moment was just one of their most memorable. Seeing each other all dressed up in their wedding attire was a true highlight of their big day, according to the bride. That, paired with the smiles on all attendees’ faces, made for a truly joyous wedding day celebration.
